In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. First comes the title: public teaching and formation.
-
Then its aim: the establishment of the Dīn — that the faith becomes practically alive in the surroundings. And for that there are four pillars: teaching, formation, invitation, and service.
-
After that come its aims and objectives, and its method. Among the aims: to furnish Muslims with the knowledge of the faith they cannot do without; to build an atmosphere of teaching and formation inside Muslim homes; and to make the mosques centres of public education. The method will be that a suitable curriculum is prepared for ordinary people, then a team is formed from among the scholars and the educated, and then these courses are convened — established in place after place.
-
After that comes its anthem — the poem: “O Lord, give the Muslim heart that living longing which warms the heart and sets the soul trembling.” The whole poem is there.
-
Then there is the supplication, from the hadith — “O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant” — the whole of it.
-
After that comes our syllabus.
-
It is this: first come the matters of belief. The six Kalimas are memorised, their translation memorised too, the occasions memorised — which Kalima belongs to which moment — and their merits memorised, what each is good for. Then Īmān-e-Mujmal and Īmān-e-Mufaṣṣal are taught as well, wording and meaning together. With that the belief course is complete.
-
After that we move to purification, because the first chapter of Islam is purification. There is the ablution, the full washing, the dry substitute; there is the method of each, the manners, the supplications. This, God willing, is to be taught and learned practically.
-
After that we move to the call to prayer and the iqāmah, because this is the complete call. There are the words of the adhān, the words of the iqāmah, and their translation.
-
And after that we move to the prayer — from the opening takbīr to “peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah”. The words of the prayer: the Arabic and the Urdu translation, and its actions, done practically.
-
And then after that, once the prayer is in place, the twenty-four hours of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — how the Prophet’s ﷺ twenty-four hours were spent, from morning until night. In it are the supplications and the manners. This is a fixed frame, and every Muslim ought to fit inside it.
-
After that comes the connection to the Qurʾān. The sunnah recitation is the recitation the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to keep to daily. In it: Sūrat al-Fātiḥa, ten verses of al-Baqara, three verses of Āl ʿImrān, part of the closing verse of at-Tawba, ten verses of al-Kahf, then Yā-Sīn, and at the end the three verses of al-Ḥashr — preceded by “I seek refuge with Allah, the Hearing, the Knowing, from the accursed Satan”. And then the four Quls. After Maghrib there is Sūrat al-Wāqiʿa, and after ʿIshāʾ, Sūrat al-Mulk. That is the sunnah recitation. A Muslim’s life should hold a daily connection to the Qurʾān.
-
So God willing, once this is fully prepared, we will add to it further. For that, the forming of individuals is under way. From among the students of the madrasa and the jāmiʿa roughly ten individuals have already been formed, and among our own students at Masjid Al-Siddique it continues — forming individuals, carrying this call into ordinary society, building an atmosphere for it, and making these things easy to learn. That, God willing, is our mission.

May Allah use us all as much as possible for His faith, and may our lives be purposeful and of worth. And may Allah send blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions. Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings.
