The testimony and its two halves — oneness, and messengership.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ
There is no god but Allah; Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah.
The two halves of the Kalima
First half — Tawḥīd
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ
There is no god but Allah
Second half — Risālat
مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
